Millican’s Room is a characterful room featuring exposed original beams and two charming windows overlooking the garden, a large ensuite bathroom with a shower, wash basin, toilet and heated towel rail. The comfortable double bed with bedside tables and lights can accommodate 2 guests. An under-stairs cupboard provides plenty of storage and hanging space for clothes – in addition to a chest of drawers. There is also a smart 32inch TV with free-sat for your convenience – or when you cannot agree what to watch downstairs.
Named after the English comedian Sarah Jane Millican, who won the comedy award for Best Newcomer at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In February 2013 she was listed as one of the 100 most powerful women in the United Kingdom by Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, and in the same year married fellow comedian Gary Delaney.
